Stone, chosen by the slab.

Book-matched Calacatta-type marble. Marble, granite, travertine and limestone from quarries around the world, plus porcelain and sintered slabs. Each slab is selected and graded before it ships to your project.

Why look beyond the local slab yard?

A local yard stocks what moves quickly. The slab that makes a kitchen island or a feature wall is usually somewhere else: a particular quarry, a particular block, sometimes a particular face of that block.

PURE MARBLE connects architects, builders, fabricators and showrooms with quarries and processors worldwide, so you choose from the stone that exists, not just the stone that’s in stock.

We compare slabs across suppliers, grade them, and send photographs and samples before anything is cut or shipped.

  • Rarer slabsExotic and limited-run stone that rarely reaches local yards.
  • A broader rangeColours, veining, finishes and slab sizes chosen for the project, not the shelf.
  • Consistent gradingSlabs graded for colour, veining and defects, and held as sequences for matching.
  • Commercial senseSourcing direct from processors, with logistics planned for the project schedule.

Three ways to lay a pair.

How slabs meet changes the whole wall. Switch the pattern to see the difference.

Book-match: the second slab is flipped like the facing page of a book, so the veins mirror across the seam. Used for feature walls, islands and splashbacks.

From the quarry to your project.

Five steps, and you see the stone at every one of them before it moves to the next.

  1. Start from the region

Carrara, Estremoz, Rajasthan, Brazil and beyond: each stone comes from the place that makes it best.

  2. Sawn into slabs

Blocks are sawn into sequences of slabs. Slabs from one block match each other, which is what makes book-matching possible.

  3. Selected and graded

We compare slabs across suppliers, grade them for colour, veining and defects, and send photographs and samples. You can hold specific slabs.

  4. Cut to size

Templating, cut-to-size fabrication, edge profiles and finishes: honed, polished, leathered or flamed.

  5. Shipped and installed

We don’t supply engineered stone.

Since 1 July 2024, the manufacture, supply, processing and installation of engineered stone benchtops, panels and slabs has been prohibited in Australia because of the silicosis risk to the people who cut it.

For the benchtops, splashbacks and cladding engineered stone was used for, we source porcelain and sintered stone slabs: large-format, low-porosity surfaces for kitchens, bathrooms and commercial work.
