Better stone starts with better sourcing.
PURE MARBLE is a natural stone sourcing company. We connect Australian architects, builders, fabricators and showrooms with quarries and processors around the world.

Our approach.
Most stone in Australia is bought from what a yard happens to hold. That works for everyday jobs. It doesn’t work when the brief calls for a particular colour, a matched sequence of slabs, or a stone nobody local stocks.
We start from the project: what the stone has to do, where it’s going, and how it should look. Then we go to the quarries and processors that make that stone, compare real slabs, grade them, and show you before anything is cut or shipped.
The aim is simple: the slab you approved is the slab that arrives.
How a slab is selected.
What we look at before a slab is offered to you.
- Colour rangeBackground tone and veining colour, checked against your sample and across every slab in the sequence.
- Vein direction and flowWhether the movement suits the layout, and whether consecutive slabs will book-match.
- Natural featuresFissures, pits and filled areas noted and photographed, so nothing is a surprise on site.
- Thickness and finishSlab thickness, flatness and finish quality checked before it is held for you.

Responsible sourcing.
We work with quarries and processors that operate responsibly, and we plan shipping to keep wasted freight down. Chain-of-custody documentation and origin statements are available for projects that need them.
We don’t supply engineered stone, which has been banned in Australia since 1 July 2024. Porcelain and sintered slabs are offered instead.
